$22,000  Individual student laptops for 7th and 8th grades in BREC.

$10,000 Think Pad Computer in Blue Ridge School (grades 3-6) for Classroom Instruction

$2,000 Summer Reading Program " give 5, read 5" for students of BRS and BREC.

$9,000 Digital Microscopes for BREC Science Department.

Blue Ridge School Education Foundation Projects for the 2016-2017 school year

Provided an experiential learning trip to the Greenville Children’s Museum for kindergarten students.

" Teaching STREAM "  Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, Math ( consistent with the Foundation's Mission Statement, these are the educational areas we support with needed supplemental funding)

SONGWRITERS' ROUND :  Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Trillium Links and Lake Club.

Funding Activities from the Foundation's fund raising, individual donations and facilitating the granting of support from other non-profit organizations and foundations.

Funding for the DIGITAL LEARNING INITIATIVE for Blue Ridge Early College (grades 7-13).  The Foundations contribution allowed for the 7th and 8th grades to be included for the current year.

Funding for 20 laptop teaching computers in Blue Ridge Elementary School ( grades 3-6 )

Funding for Microscopes for Blue Ridge Middle School and Early College Science Courses.   The complete set purchased included 6 traditional compound microscopes, 6 dissecting microscopes, 12 compact digital microscopes and 1 digital compound microscope for the teacher to connect to the ActiveBoard.

Funding and Solicited Funding for the Music Department of Blue Ridge School and Blue Ridge Early College. Blue Ridge School (k-6) and Blue Ridge Early College ( grades 7-13 ) share a campus and also share the music department serving approximately 360 students.

Departments MISSION: The Music Department's mission is to provide diverse and educationally sound music experiences that foster creativity, encourage collaboration, provide a means of self-expression, and enhance the quality of arts in the community.

Funding of the Blue Ridge Early College's Academic Awards/Scholarship Banquet.

Funding of the annual ANDREW SHAW MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP program for graduating seniors desiring to attend 2 year or 4 year or vocational/technical educations.
